Product Overview

BONDERITE® L-FG 4258B (previously known as P3 Forge 4258B) is a premium lubricant solution for hot forging presses in steel manufacturing.  BONDERITE® L-FG 4258B is formulated dispersion of graphite in water that prevents hot metal sticking and reduces the resulting damage and wear to dies or punch surfaces. BONDERITE® L-FG 4258B delivers high levels of protection for medium and heavy-duty metal forging operations.

Applications

BONDERITE® L-FG 4258B is an easy-to-use hot forge lubricant solution and can be applied via flooding or spray nozzles. 
 
The recommended operating conditions for BONDERITE® L-FG 4258B are listed below for reference.
 
Starting Dilution: 3:1 to 20:1 (water to BONDERITE®)
Operating Bath Temperature: 80°F to 120°F
Hot Forge only Billet Temp: > 1800°F
